Nykita O’Keeffe
Nykita O’Keeffe is an accomplished Ugandan–Australian performer based in Brisbane, most recently seen as Chiffon in QPAC’s season of Little Shop of Horrors (Woodward Productions/QPAC) and part of the local cast for Sting’s recent revival of The Last Ship (QPAC). A vibrant force in the city’s independent theatre scene, her theatrical highlights include appearing as Kira in XANADU (Miraball Productions), Susan in Tick, Tick… BOOM! (Good Time Theatrics), Lucy Harris in Jekyll & Hyde (Swich Up Productions), Mopsa in the Queensland premiere of Head Over Heels (THAT Production Co./Miraball Productions), and Wendla in Spring Awakening (Millennial Productions).
Her concert and special-event credits include three seasons of A Night at the Musicals (ANATM), The Broadway Jam, Broadway in the Dock, Home for Christmas (JDProCo), two seasons of the Lord Mayor’s Senior Christmas Parties at Brisbane City Hall (Epiphany Entertainment), and MTI’s All Together Now (On The Boards Theatre Co.).
Other notable theatre credits include Esmeralda in The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Beenleigh Theatre Group), Éponine in Les Misérables (Lynch & Paterson), Elizabeth in CONTROL (Observatory Theatre), Pocahontas in Disenchanted (Footlights Theatrical), and various ensemble/understudy roles in Jesus Christ Superstar (Lynch & Paterson), Pirates of Penzance (Lynch & Paterson), Spamalot (Brisbane Arts Theatre), Annie: The Musical (Mad About Theatre), and Funny Girl (Noosa Arts Theatre).
